Yesterday, it was speculation, but today it's official.
The next project you'll be seeing The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Valentine's Day star Taylor Lautner is will be Max Steel.
Says Nikki Finke at Deadline,
I'm told Max Steel will be a four-quadrant popcorn movie in the spirit of Iron Man about a 19-year-old extreme sports junkie recruited by a secret agency after an accident infects his body, leaving him with superhuman powers.
The L.A. Times reported earlier that Lautner's role in the film would be "Josh McGrath, a 19-year-old extreme-sports athlete who is accidentally exposed to the unleashed power of nanotechological machines, which become part of him."

I'll go see it. Nice to see him taking off as an actor, some times these HUGE type films type cast you. So glad for him.
taylor in a superhero costume and tights???? erm.... to be honest, im not so sure... ive never even heard of the character. It sounds like the sort of thing that could easily be a flop, he'll have to tread very carefully. :-S
