Brooke Shields owes over $10,000 in back taxes

Another celebrity has been caught owing taxes to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). BackTaxesHelp and numerous other sources have reported that Brooke Shields had a tax lien filed against her from taxes owed from 2004 and 2005.

With the economy continuing to decline and tax revenues falling sharply (as unemployment increases) it is pretty obvious that the IRS is going to be tougher than ever with recouping taxes owed.

Brooke's tax problems became public when the IRS filed a tax lien against her which is basically a vehicle to secure the repayment of taxes owed. The breakdown of the taxes is as follows with $4400 being owed from 2004 and about $5900 from 2005.
