If your dog is your baby, or at least an important part of the family, you are in good company. Florida pet owners are constantly looking for ways to enjoy life with their dogs.

You’d think it was an event aimed just for dog lovers. All age groups of people roamed Main Street. They were joined by Labs, Toys, Greyhounds, Boxers, and mutts strolling, sniffing and searching for yummy scraps that the humans might have mistakenly dropped.
I always enjoy browsing the vendor booths for new pet products and inspirational article ideas. A lovely display of treats caught my eye. Had there not been leashes and collars hanging from the booth, I might not have known that the goodies were actually treats for dogs!
Trina Messano and Jason Longo sat behind dozens of cookies, biscuits and specialty surprises. Trina introduced me to her darling, Gigi (who is quite the store mascot!)
Trina has created a bakery’s worth of treats for dogs. It’s worth a trip with your pooch to view the lovely goodies made especially for dogs at Doggie Cakes Dog Bakery and Boutique in New Port Richey. The treats are made from 100% human-grade ingredients and contain no preservatives. Items are sold online and through the retail shop. Look for their booth at events in New Port Richey and Safety Harbor. 
Having been a resident of five different states throughout my life, I have already come to know my new home state of Florida to rank at the top of the list when it comes to dog lovers being welcomed and accepted in the community. Our pets are part of the family, and local shops like Doggie Cakes Bakery is a refreshing pet-friendly business that I hope you take the time to visit.
