Bob Ratterman covered Talawanda High School sports as both reporter and editor of The Oxford Press, the weekly newspaper in Oxford, Ohio. He accepted an early retirement offer to allow more writing opportunities. He was recognized by the Talawanda Athletic Boosters in February 2010 with a certificate of appreciation for "Unprecedented Support & Service to Talawanda High School athletics." He is a self-described sports nut, enjoying any sporting event but with a special affection for baseball, having grown up in Cincinnati, and rooting for the Reds.
