
Twelfth World Congress on Qigong
The World Congress on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a great annual event when Chi Gong masters and scientists around the world get together to present and discuss important Taichi and Chi Gong (Qigong) topics. The event draws hundreds each year from the world and has been gaining momentum.
World Taichi and Qigong (Chi Kung) Day (WTCQD) and WorldTaiChiDay.org educate millions worldwide about Tai Chi and Chi Gong’s benefits. WTCQD is a global event at the end of April in over 65 nations, including the US each year and promoted in event calendars, public health organizations, as well as city, state, federal government agencies and volunteers.

This year, from April 24th to 26th, the 12th World Congress and World Taichi and Qigong Day is coming together to address the most essential elements of the health for our body as well as for our planet: pure energy, food, air and water. The main event will be held in San Francisco with a world-class program at the Congress, which will be broadcasted live via streaming on the web.
The 12th World Congress will start at 10 am on Saturday, April 24th at the United Nations Plaza, San Francisco. Chi Gong and Taichi grandmasters and dignitaries will join the opening ceremony. Afterwards, various Taichi and Chi Gong masters will present different Taichi and Chi Gong forms with the participation of Congress attendees a rare opportunity to learn precious forms from the masters.
With the leadership of Dr. Shin Lin of Minneapolis, 25 Taichi and Chi Gong research papers will be presented by scientists and medical professionals on Sunday April 25. People can learn the latest medical research and clinical trial reports on Taichi, Chi Gong, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Effie Chow, the organizer of this event, said that the world needs to know of the awesome potential of Qigong/Tai Chi to uplift humanity and restore balance to our planet. Practice of Taichi and Chi Gong is the key to personal and planetary evolution. She recommends everyone read the latest article “Alternative” Medicine Is Mainstream by Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dean Ornish, Rustum Roy and Andrew Weil in the Wall Street Journal and the report by Harvard Health Publications. She also cited Dr. Mehmet Oz on the Oprah Winfrey Show advising that “If you want to be healthy and live to one hundred, do Qigong!”
Since this is a large international conference, it requires support and volunteering efforts by many. Dr. Chow mentioned so far Dr. Shin Li, Dr. Alex Feng, Mater Chunyi Lin, Mahendra Kumar Trivedi, Master Pan Liu Wan,Shaolin San Francisco,Dr. JD Zhang, Phillip Wong, Pacific Wushu, Beerly Rubik, Sandra RoaseMichael, Lama Tantrapa and many others have been working on the event.. There are many ways that you can participate in this remarkable event.
