Lindsay Lohan begins serving jail sentence Tuesday, loses attorney, maintains sense of humor
Lindsay Lohan is slated to begin her 90-day jail sentence on Tuesday, but has maintained her sense of humor about her predicament. In addition, reports indicate that her latest legal representation has bailed and it is now unclear who is actually her attorney.
On Monday night, People magazine reports that Lohan tweeted “The only ‘bookings’ that I’m familiar with are Disney Films, never thought I’d be ‘booking’ into Jail… eeks.” Ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson tweeted back, "well- you haven't lost your sense of humour."
That post was made after her most recent legal counsel, Robert Shapiro, who had unofficially taken her case, stepped down from representing her after meeting with the judge in the case, according to TMZ.
According to the report, Shawn Chapman Holley, who appeared in court with Lohan during her sentencing hearing, is still technically her attorney because she never signed the legal documents to remove herself as Lohan’s attorney of record.

Lohan was ordered to spend the next three months behind bars for violating her probation related to a 2007 DUI case, however, People notes that due to overcrowding in Los Angeles County jail facilities, she will only serve a fraction of that time. She was also ordered to enter a live-in rehab facility after her release from jail.

I hope every attorney who has clients who violate the conditions of the court, who are repeated drug offenders, who fail to show in court, ALL use this brat's case as precedent for their clients. She certainly is getting "special treatment", and the jail was not over-crowded. This alcoholic, coke addict will never learn and rehab is a joke! She has been to rehab more than anyone, and her first day out, she is back looking for more drugs to stuff up her snobby nostrils. Her mother is an enabler, who loves riding on her daughters coattail of fame. Her parents are both nuts and they need to stay away from her unless they want to actually help. The whole courtroom, "get out of jail free" card, is so annoying. The justice system is truly biased when it comes to the rich and famous...I vote all attorneys use her case to make a point~
