LeBron James and his mom being sued by man who claims to be NBA star's father (read legal document)
NBA star LeBron James and his mother Gloria James are being sued by a man who claims he’s the basketball player’s father. In the suit, Leicester Bryce Stovell alleges that the two tampered with evidence that would have prove he definitively fathered the athlete.
TMZ reports that Stovell, 55, says he met Gloria in 1984 at a club in Washington DC. He claims they had unprotected sex, Gloria being only 15 years old at the time -- Stovell was 29. He claims at the time he didn’t know how young Gloria was.
According to the tabloid, Stovell is not “some schmuck” and is a Princeton graduate. He eventually obtained a law degree from the University of Chicago. Stovell also worked his way up the ladder to become a Senior Legal Advisor for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
After he and Gloria went their separate ways, he says they met up several months later and she informed him she was pregnant with LeBron. Stovell says he told her “Well, if he’s mine, make sure he plays basketball.”
He claims to have spoken to Gloria over the phone in 2007 and she allegedly denied ever meeting him and threatened him physical harm. Several days later, Stovell alleges he was contacted by LeBron’s attorney to take a DNA test.

He said both LeBron and Gloria tampered with the results, thus the test showed he was not the athlete’s father. Stovell alleges that both the basketball player and his mother are involved in a cover-up because they’re angry due to “perceived abandonment.”
Stovell wants $4 million from LeBron and Gloria alleging fraud, defamation, and misrepresentation in his lawsuit.
