Over the course of 100 episodes, Dice Like Thunder has discussed a wide variety of topics. They do the usual codex overview and strategy sections (as do all other 40k podcasts) but also host several unique discussion items as well. The following is a small selection of segments that set the DLT crew apart from the other 40k podcasts.

Fireman Guy: This rumor segment is special because the news from this anonymous source often tends to be correct.

Imperial News Hour: a humor section fashioned after a news broadcast from the 40k universe. These sections often contain edited audio clips from movies and TV shows and maintains Monty Python-esque comedy throughout the news hour.

Overrated/Underrated: Listeners mention one item about the hobby or game that they believe is overrated by the community, then another item they believe is underrated. The hosts use both items to generate conversation.

Pimp My List: Listeners send in army lists to be analyzed and fixed by the hosts.

P.I.S.S. (Painting in Simple Steps): Painter Sarah appears on these segments. P.I.S.S. reveals simple painting and modeling tips that could set a model apart from the rest. These tips are surprisingly effective, with minimal amount of effort required.

Rogue Trader: The Cali-40k-tion crew discuss their Rogue Trader game and the events that occur within their campaign.

Other unnamed sections include: Black Library book reviews, unit overview (one host nominates one unit from his codex, the next host nominates one unit that can defeat the previous, and so on until all the hosts have mentioned a unit), and tournament reports.
