Happy Gardens is an individually owned organic landscape company serving Ft Worth and the mid cities. The company offers landscape design, consultation, installation, maintenance and garden coaching. Garden edibles are offered through a variety of services.

Happy Gardens offers design for edible garden beds, layouts and chooses the best location for them. Owner, Agnieszka Hurst, explains that “proper bed preparation is crucial for vegetable gardens.” In regard to edibles, her goal is to grow things that are productive and agree with the tastes of her clients.

Happy Gardens uses well adapted, native plants and an organic method, which provides a sustainable garden for clients. In regard to sustainability, Hurst notes that vegetable gardens use valuable resources such as water and labor. She recommends companion crops to be used as cover crops, which reduces water needs and replenishes the soil with nutrients.

Why is the organic method important?

An organic garden is a “safe environment which will create a garden ecosystem that will be in balance.” “Garden snakes, lizards and frogs all help to control bugs.” “Chemicals do not allow other animals and life to exist.”-Owner of Happy Gardens, Agnieszka Hurst
