Are frogs sustainable? Frogs: The Thin Green Line

Andrew Young/© 2009 WNET.ORG

THIRTEEN’s Nature series and Emmy-Award winning filmmaker, Allison Argo combines compelling footage and sublime storytelling craftsmanship to take an in-depth look at the greatest mass extinction of amphibians since the dinosaurs.  Frogs:  The Thin Green Line premiered Sunday on Rocky Mountain PBS at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time (8:00 p.m. ET) and is now available for viewing online.

Frogs have been on this planet for more than 250 million years and now scientists are struggling to keep them alive.  What's going on?

There is an environmental crisis unfolding in our own backyard as well as around the globe.  Where there used to be the calls of frogs, scientists now hear only silence, and this silence is traveling from Australia to North and South America.

Learn why one of the most wonderous, diverse and beloved, animals on Earth are slipping away; what that will do to the food chain and how scientists are internationally mobilizing to try and prevent this crisis on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. ET) on Rocky Mountain PBS.

Actually, you can view it online in its entirety on your computer screen. Examiner.com wont permit us to enter urls but if you go to the PBS nature URL and put in "The Thin Green Line" (or just google "Frogs" and "The Thin Green Line") you'll find it:-)
