Phoenix Area feels Easter Sunday earthquake

The light fixtures began to sway and the hanging blinds rocked back and forth as people all over the Phoenix Area felt the rumblings of a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that rocked the top of the Baja peninsula in Mexico just southwest of Yuma at 3:40 pm on Easter Sunday.

Within 30 minutes, rippling earthquakes of 4 to 5 magnitude rumbled across southern California. Latest info from US Geological Survey

Effects of the quake were seen and felt as far north as Nevada.
 
Are these more signs of the times? Students of the Scripture will know that Jesus foretold of the acceleration of earthquakes  and other calamities at the end of the age. 
 
“But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately." Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” Luke 21:9-11
 
This is a well known prophetic Scripture about the age we are in. But the Scriptures go on to declare that God will do nothing without first foretelling it to His prophets.“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy?” Amos 3:7-8
 
So with the acceleration of earthquakes around the world, and particularly along the Pacific rim over the last two months, has God warned us ahead of time? Jason Westerfield, a recent visitor to the Phoenix area, says “yes”.

    Excellent article as always, we have been seeing this for over 2 years and the Clarion has been blown over and over regarding this our question has been stay or go as we are right on the coast here in Monterey Bay....He is awesome! and He does not leave us...

    Notice that it's right on the Ring of Fire, just as that Chilean earthquake was. But the warning did come--in most of the Gospels.

    here's what the gospel said "something bad will happen in the future" ok i guess we should all become believers now.

    Alex, Thanks for reviewing my article. The specifics are that a current believer got specific details and specific dates.. through the prophetic inspiration of the Spirit of God. So yes, we hope that all will become believers.
