Octomom Nadya Suleman is expected in a California court today (Wednesday, 12/9) for a guardianship hearing concerning eight of her 14 children.
An advocacy group for child actors known as "A Minor Consideration", is trying to get some financial control over Suleman's now 11 month old octuplets. Earlier this year an Orange County, CA judge gave the group the green light to pursue the case. Basically, A Minor Consideration wants one person, a guardian, appointed to oversee the childrens' finances. According to KTLA attorney, celebrity-attorney Gloria Allred (also representing Tiger Woods' mistress #1) represents the advocacy group. She is arguing for a financial guardian to be appointed saying Suleman is using her children for financial gain by putting them on television, including a documentary.
It's also been reported Octomom Nadya Suleman and her 14 children will be the subjects of an upcoming reality TV series.

Absolutely! Somebody sane (and that is not her) needs to be appointed to look after the interests of those children PERIOD. Not just for purposes of television/entertainment projects. She's a sicko.
The babies absolutely need someone separate to advocate for them. Their mother has done a great job of spending their money so far. No body seems to remember that the beotch wouldn't be infamous if it weren't for the kids. There would be no money coming to her without them!

To "Interested" -- a guardian ad litem would save the children more money by limiting Octomom's access to it so that she cannot spend it herself. With the appointment of a guardian, at least the kids will have SOMETHING and Octo won't be able to touch it for plastic surgery, in vitro, tattoos, and manicures. Octo herself needs a guardian (and a straightjacket -- the witch is nuts!)

If a guardian is not appointed, the kids won't have any financial interests (money) period. I think she has shown what her interests are. She spends money on herself as fast as she can.If she had to at least help take care of what she created,
she wouldn't have so much time to spend, spend, spend.
It would be one thing if OctoScammer was out there actually working a job 40 hours a week. Then I'd have no problem with her buying for herself whatever her little heart desired. But, instead, she has scammed the system to get where she is. The money she's p*ssing away is not money she's worked for. It is a result of interest in the 8 babies she created through IVF (how DOES a welfare mom afford IVF?) and gave birth to on the taxpayers' dime. She's sickening.
Interested -- if there is NOT a guardian, there will be no money left for the children. Octomom has burned through it as fast as it has hit her greedy little palm. The difference is, paying a Trustee 2% v. Mom spending it all and there is NOTHING for the kids. And BTW, it wasn't the children who filed for Welfare to scam the state out of money -- it was Mom. More people would be willing to help those children if the Mom wasn't always jumping in line in front of them to get whatever she can first. Screw the ho!

Vick, thank you...finally someone who understands that families do have a right to privacy. I hardly see her so called wild spending. These babies look fabulous, happy and healthy...hard to handle one much less 8. Kudos to Octomom and thank you for such a sensible post.

All the court will learn is that the children have a financial guardian. Nadya Suleman is being handled now, by the person or persons who are now financially raising her children. Duh.
I definitely think they need someone other than octonut overseeing their funds. She's already clearly demonstrated that she lacks any fiscal responsibility by squandering her inheritance and labor and industries funds for ivf while letting her parents and the state foot the bill for raising her first six children.

i think it would be a great idea after all she was a unemployed mother of six bringing in more kids and if jon and kat +8 have showed us anything those kids need a out side party looking out for them as well as there other sibs
As reality and history has shown children are often exploited, that is children in the media, movies etc. I am not saying that these children are, but when family becomes involved in financial matters concering their children everything falls through. Especially if the families have no experience in finance and budgeting. I think it is in the children's interest that they do appoint someone to look after their finances, so that the children will definitly have a great future. Their college funds etc. I don't think that anyone is trying to harm their parents (mom), I think that she is not that experience in handling the finances for the children and she needs the help to do so. People be real! We all know what can happen to money if you have never had much before. They are only looking out for the children's well being! I totally believe they should.
