Melissa Rycroft is reportedly tying the knot today...but it's not to the first man she accepted a ring from. The 26 year old Bachelor-dumpee and Dancing with the Stars favorite is marrying Tye Strickland.
Rycroft and Strickland dated on and off for two years before she went on the ABC reality TV show, The Bachelor. Who could forget her story? She got the final rose, the ring and a proposal from Bachelor and single dad, Jason Mesnick. Only to then be dumped on national TV so her former fiance could propose to another woman just minutes later, runner-up Molly.
But it looks like Melissa Rycroft got the last laugh. She's walking down the aisle Saturday where she'll become Mrs. Tye Strickland less than six months after announcing her engagement. Molly and Jason Mesnick became engaged in New Zealand in October 2009, but have yet to announce a wedding date.
As if The Bachelor-saga/heartbreak/drama didn't get Melissa enough notoriety, she was then asked to be a last minute fill in on ABC's Dancing with the Stars where she almost instantly became a fan favorite and household name. The former Dallas Cheerleader came in third place on DWTS.
Looks like Mrs. Melissa Rycroft-Strickland can thank Jason Mesnick for breaking her heart, she's made out better without him.
