Ceilings for Lil Wayne are definitely in his future in the form of a jail cell when sentenced next year, but today, 10-31-09, ceilings of a different sort hit the airwaves with the official release of his mix tape, No Ceilings.

The popular rap artist is scheduled to be sentenced in February 2010 for attempted weapon's possession for a .40 caliber pistol found on his tour bus in a 2007 incident in New York City. Wayne also faces felony drug and weapon's possession charges from an incident that happened in Arizona as well, further compounding his legal woes.

Lil Wayne's No Ceilings mix tape hit the waves, but it was available for download before the official release date.

Google Trends has had either Lil Wayne's name, and/or title of his CD ranked in the Top 40 most of the week. The rap artist is nothing if not mega-popular. Two download cites for the drop are below.

Wayne's productivity in pumping out tracks left, and right in the music world, his golden-touch, (some might disagree with that), continues to enrich the artist with semi's full of cash delivered to his favorite bank while his message is to "...make it juicy for ya." Ain't mad at em'. The dude is all over the map, and on many different artists records. He's got to know something to loot-up like that.

What Lil Wayne needs to be worrying about is that nasty little syrup addiction he admitted to having not long ago. "Everybody wants me to stop all this and all that. It ain't that easy," the rapper stated. Wayne described getting clean through detox treatment, and the withdrawal process as that of  "death."

If Lil Wayne is still addicted to the syrup, which contains codeine, he is in for a ride when he goes to jail. Codeine is an opiate, and capable of producing some gruesome withdrawal symptoms. Often, county jails won't treat opiate addicts. They are usually left writhing on the bullpen floor, or in their cell in the housing areas.

Most of the time an opiate addict in withdrawal is either bent over the toilet, or sitting on it. Take your pick. Power puking, and jets of diarrhea plague opioid addicts in withdrawal for the most part. Between that, and having the cold-sweats, inability to sleep, extreme anxiety, anxiousness, and many other symptoms, the process is grueling to say the least.

Wayne will experience all of these most likely, unless the medical personnel at the jail have some type of protocol to treat opiate addiction. If not, Lil Wayne is going to be very sick for a good 7 to 10 days. All that bull-crap out there about opiate withdrawals lasting 3 to 5 days is bunko.

It would be in Lil Wayne's best interests to detox himself from the syrup before he goes to jail. And he doesn't appear to be interested in professional help based on his statement that "...it ain't that easy," and describing withdrawal symptoms as "death."

He could actually do it himself using that which he is addicted to. Wayne has until February 2010 to detox. He could gradually reduce the dosage he is taking very slowly until then. In fact, anyone could be detoxed from opiates, using the opiates they are addicted to. It would be better done in a controlled setting, but it can be done without the addict feeling much by way of withdrawal symptoms.

If Lil Wayne did decide to enter treatment before he goes to jail, it would send a powerful message to young people everywhere who are abusing drugs, or thinking about doing so. Lil Wayne has the potential of helping many, many people, by taking that first step toward help.

He dropped his mix tape No Ceilings today, but come February 2010, the rap artist will be surrounded by ceilings made from steel, and concrete when he starts that bit. Hope he can get that gorilla off his back.

Wonderful, another junkie/career criminal living off of the taxpayers money. Wouldnt it just be easier to just execute him rather than having him spread his nonsense to the kids via his whiny, boring rap?

"Wonderful, another junkie/career criminal living off of the taxpayers money?"

What part of living off the taxpayers money comes into play for this extremely rich dude RJ? The county and state will collect for the cost of his incarceration, as well as any treatment he decides to use. In fact, nothing about money comes into play for this guy as far as taxpayers footing the bill. Lil Wayne could treat the entire county and still have enough left over for about 30 or 40 lifetimes.

Funny how jealousy leaks out in comments. In addition, it's too bad you are of the sort unwilling to give people chances on turning their lives around from a drug addiction. You add to the problem, and haven't a clue on how that is.

However, you can call Lil Wayne everything but a child of God, but the fact remains that he built the empire he now runs, and that takes quite a bit more intelligence you could probably ever muster, unless of course you are a mega-millionaire, which I doubt.
