Jamie Lee Curtis was addicted to prescription drugs and said
Michael Jackson was a commodity to those around him.
Celebrity Jamie Lee Curtis, 51, has come forward to reveal her drug addiction on the heels of Michael Jackson’s death. Known as the scream queen for her many roles in horror movies, Jamie stated that she too battled addiction to prescription drugs.
Curtis first debuted in the1978 film release Halloween, featuring a masked killer slashing up residents of a small town. And the way Michael Meyers, the killer, butchered the residents, it was plainly evident he had some savage issues himself.
The daughter of Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, both mega stars in their day, Jamie is currently married to actor Christopher Guest, aka Lord Haden-Guest, and she is officially referred to in England as Lady Haden-Guest.

Jamie’s addiction began after realizing the drug did more than just kill her physical pain; it numbed her emotional pain as well. "Listen, I can relate. I too found painkillers after a routine cosmetic surgical procedure and I too became addicted, the morphine becomes the warm bath from which to escape painful reality…," she said in her Huffington Post blog. And as with Michel Jackson, he too was probably numbing his pain from a childhood that can only be described at best as challenging. “The pain he suffered was from his birth, from his being and becoming the commodity that then made him the omnipotent King of the Pop-Goes-The-Weasel…that destroyed him,” Jamie stated.
