The self-proclaimed “Queen of all Media” has expanded his empire with a new fashion inspired blog, Coco Perez. Since 2003, Perez Hilton (real name Mario Lavandeira) has been entertaining readers by posting witty tales of Hollywood celebrities through his wildly popular gossip blog, PerezHilton.com. In a video posted by Perez on the new site, he calls Coco Perez "the ultimate destination for where celebrity meets fashion."
Though he is not without his share of critics, Perez has been influential in promoting actors, celebrities, books, movies, TV shows, music, fashion and all things pop culture on PerezHilton.com - many personalities owing much of their own celebrity to the blogger.
Perez started out simply blogging about his passion for celebrity gossip, yet the explosive growth of his blog has catapulted him to celebrity-status, with industry heads valuing his opinion and throwing major ad dollars his way.
Even celebrities themselves contact Perez to give him the inside scoop, exclusives and interviews. Through Coco Perez, Perez seeks to do the same, but geared towards the glitz and glam of the fashion industry. The new site mimics the look of the parent blog, but with a sleeker, more streamlined flow.
The opening post on Coco Perez today features a welcome video from Perez explaining his vision for the site and what it has to offer (watch video). Today’s content features a fierce photo shoot of Gossip Girl’s Chuck and Blair aka Ed Westwick and Leighton Meister, among other photos of models and celebrities with related fashion stories.

Fans of perezhilton.com and fashionophiles alike are in for a treat as the ubiquitous Perez strikes again.

I like sites that really take work, like the Times Square Gossip site. It has all the gossip and the best photos, and you can tell they work hard to make the page look good, not like Perez who slaps everything on no matter what it looks like.
