Vampire Chic is taking over the screen and streets. It’s hard to miss the vampire craze from HBO’s “True Blood,” CW’s “Vampire Diaries” and, of course, the "Twilight" franchise.
KTLA Morning News just finished it's "vampire week" complete with vampire experts, actors and ofcourse fashions. Retailers have taken a bite on this trend and have released lines that quench our thirst for this look.

At The Oaks Shopping Center’s, Nordstrom’s New Moon line is inspired by the Twilight series. There one can find t-shirts, jewelry, make up like "venom" lip gloss and even life size cut outs of the Twilight stars. And leather jackets, black on black and lots of lace abound.
So how to pull it all together? First, leave your capes at home. While this look is all about drama from make-up to body-conscious clothing, remember that Halloween is over.
Here are a few tips that shed some light on how to wear this trend:
- Take Back the Night. Embrace black, but use different textures when layering black on black to keep it intriguing. Look for lace, suede, and leather. Nothing screams vampy like leather, and nothing says it louder than the over-the-knee leather boot. Don’t forget the sleek, fitted, worn jackets for men.
- Vamp Make-up. Artists typically tell us to enhance the eyes or the lips. With this trend, play up both. Cover the lips with strong, deep reds or brush on sultry smoky shades on the eyelids.
- Adorn yourself with jewelry. Longer cameo necklaces or rosary bead style chains illuminate the look or for a bolder presence, try a black and gold lacquered cuff bracelet. Leather cuffs adorned with studs are catching the eye of men who are looking to create this look.
