It’s a glam-girls tasty fantasy.
Of course, there are sugary confections designed to appeal to people of all ages, “from three to 93,” says Dylan Lauren.
Lauren, whose energetic personality infuses her creations, was inspired to create candy early. “When I was little and saw my dad’s colorful fabric swatches, I thought they looked like candy.” Her NYC candy store location has been featured on TV on Gossip Girl.
She sees Dylan’s Candy Bar a way to “merge fashion with candy. It has a colorful package design and appeal.”
The Barbie candy line is pure synchronicity—like Barbie and Ken. Lauren says, “two sweet worlds collide” as Mattel celebrates Barbie’s 50th anniversary.
There are chocolate Barbies, Barbie purses holding gold covered chocolate coins, “Barbie’s Closet of Truffles, candy holders, Belgian milk and dark chocolate squares featuring Barbie’s likeness on the wrapping, chocolate squares-even a Martini glass with malt balls.
The fun is sugary-sweet, the celebration so chic—so Barbie—so Dylan Lauren.
