Stewart-Haas Racing announced Monday that Aspen Dental has signed a multi-year deal to become a primary sponsor of the No. 39 team and Ryan Newman. The team made the announcement during a luncheon the team hosted at the kickoff event for the NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The company will be the primary sponsor of SHR’s No. 39 team with driver Ryan Newman at the July Sprint Cup race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and the September event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon.
“We’re thrilled to enter into this partnership with one of the most successful organizations in NASCAR,” said Mary Boysman, vice president of brand marketing and advertising at Aspen Dental Management, Inc. “Like our new partners at Stewart-Haas Racing, our team at Aspen Dental is driven by a strong commitment to quality, training and teamwork. We can’t wait for the 2012 season to begin so that we can join Stewart-Haas Racing on NASCAR’s biggest stage.”
New SHR driver Danica Patrick joined Tony Stewart and Newman, along with their crew chiefs, to field questions from the media about the 2012 season.
Patrick told the assembled media members that she will not be driving in the Indy 500 this year but did not rule out the possibility that she will do so in the future. She will drive the Coca Cola 600 Sprint Cup race that weekend in Charlotte. Stewart said the decision was made by Patrick.
