One of the hottest Christmas items on everyone's shopping list this year is the Nintendo Wii gaming system. On Black Friday a number of people were trying to get a Nintendo Wii on sale, but most retailers did not mark the price down, they simply offered a bundle deal which usually ranged from $299 to $350. Toys R Us had a brief sale, the shoppers could get the Wii for $99 but they would also have to purchase $150 worth of Wii merchandise to qualify for the deal. Although it may be hard to find a good deal on the Nintendo Wii, Wal Mart is currently offering the best deal yet!
The regular price to purchase a Nintendo Wii is currently $199. However, seeing that the system only comes wih one remote and the Wii Sports video game, most buyers end up spending a lot more than $199. An extra Wii remote sells for $40 while most Nintendo Wii games sell for $49. Wal Mart is currently offering a $50 dollar gift card with every Nintendo Wii purchase. So although the customer is buying the Nintendo Wii at regular price, they could use the gift card to purchase any other products they may want with the Nintendo Wii, shop for other products in the store or simply save their gift card for a special occasion. This may be the best deal that will be offered for the Nintendo Wii this holiday season. This deal is even beter than purchasing a used Nintendo Wii at Game Stop.
If the Ninendo Wii is on your shopping list then this may be the sale for you! The sale will last from Saturday December 5th until December 12th, or while supplies last. The Ninendo Wii has been such a hot item that I wouldn't depend on "while supplies last" if I were you!

I just looked online and couldn't see a mention of the sale either. Is this only in Riverside? The article was listed in the Minneapolis Examiner as a popular article, but I'm assuming it's not available here.
The sale starts 12/6. Go to walmart.com and view your local ad. It is there but the sale hasn't started. It also is in-store only.

Just got one at walmart in seacaucus. In and out in 15mins. Store was very well prepared and managed for the sale
The sale is available in a number of stores. Regarding Rob and Alicia's comments below, if you go to Wal Mart's website click on "local ads." Then enter your zip code in the space provided. If it is available in your area you will see it there. Although, this is national news so it should be available at all Wal Marts.
I got my wii console today morning in denver walmart for $199 plus tax and walmart offered a $50 gift card which comes to $150 plus tax think which is a good deal....
