“Humility Now” is a non-profit organization to mobilize and organize people wanting to practice humility by helping those in need.
It was recently founded in Miami by a very young and talented man, Julio D. Anta. Musician, writer, martial arts instructor and philanthropist, this 19-year-old is committed to put in practice the values his faith and his family have instilled on him: “true humility counts others more significant than themselves. This makes the word more than just a noun but a verb. Something you practice”.
That is the mission of “Humility Now” and the words have been put to action right away. They currently have a food and clothes drive for their first event that will take place on Thanksgiving Day.
“Humility Now” will be hosting a Thanksgiving BBQ for the homeless in Downtown Miami, this next Thursday November 26 from 11:00am to 2:00 pm, on the Parking Lot located on NE 8 St. and NE 2nd Avenue (a block west from the American Airlines Arena) to provide those from our own community who are more in need with food, clothes and company on this very special holiday.
Miami community is always very generous when informed about the extreme needs in other cities or countries; there are extreme needs in our own backyard. “Humility Now” is taking care of one of those needs and you are invited to be part of them and take action.
