Ahsoka Tano, (c) Lucasfilm 2009
During the theatrical Clone Wars movie, Anakin Skywalker was assigned a padawan by Master Yoda and Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, in their ardent hopes that training a student as brash and fearless as Anakin himself, he might learn to temper his anger and tendencies toward the dark.
To this end, they assigned to Anakin a young Togruta teenager by the name of Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka (quickly nicknamed "Snips" by her new master) is as headstrong as Anakin and just as brave. Not taking the nickname lightly, she now affectionately refers to Anakin as "Sky Guy". She exhibits a fierce loyalty to her master and a fear of his loss that resembles Anakin's fear of losing Padme, but in a much more paternal sense in this case.
Prior to her assignment to Anakin, Ahsoka was found by Master Plo Koon and raised in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Little else is known about this character, as her entrance to the Star Wars universe happened far less than a year ago. She has featured prominently in most episodes of the Cartoon Network Clone Wars series and you'll be hearing quite a lot about her in my weekly reviews, both here on The Examiner and on Big Shiny Robot!.
It is presumed by some (mainly myself) that by the end of the Clone Wars cartoon series, Ahsoka will, sadly, meet her final fate. But George Lucas and crew have never given us what we expect and continue to thrill us with the unexpected.

"But George Lucas and crew have never given us what we expect" but you should have stopped it right there because most of the stuff he has given us has been extremely less than thrilling, IMO.
BTW, I finally read your so called "defense" of the prequels and have got to say that it is really really weak. To make it almost a religious venture for you and your son on the values and moral dilemmas of life instead of the actual movies being a complete bomb in structure, continuity, and storytelling is fascinating to me. You CHOOSE to not look at the trilogies as a whole and see the weakness of storytelling or obvious disparities(or maybe you do and just don't want to admit it) and look at things that are in everyday life or every other frickin movie or program on tv to relate to. It's a formula dude and he doesn't do it any better than anyone else in fact he does it worse! Everything you see in those movies you can find in LOTR too just to name one. I like you dude but I think you give yourself too much credit for being a star wars nerd JUST from the movies. There was a true "woid" that posted on your first article and I noticed you backed down from him. Why? It would've been interesting to see you two star wars geeks go at it.
Shouldn't you be the Clone Wars examiner? This thread isn't really that interesting yet. Why don't you try the Expanded Universe, like Legacy of the Force series? hell, young jedi knights blows clone wars out of the water.
Thanks for the input guys... I've only been at this gig a few days and will certainly be expanding into other branches of the Universe as well... My profiles and things of that nature won't be limited to Clone Wars... I started with Ahsoka because Clone Wars is going on now and I imagine not a lot of people know who she is.
And as far as my defense of the prequels, that's the tip of the iceberg, man. We'll have plenty of prequels discussion around here and I hope you stick around and keep me honest.
Oh I'll stick around like mylocks on a yt-1300
Don't take any sh#t off of these two Gungans. They want you to cover the entire breadth of the series in three posts. Enough of this nonsense!!!!
Take your time Bryan, i think you're doing great. Remember that Star Wars is a nerdy-ish subject to cover - so it attracts nit-picking nerds like menstruating attracts sharks. I like your column, and I work here so I know how much work this job can be.
Keep it up bro! And.... Alright I waon't say "May the Force Be With You" because that's too obvious. But I will say "Break a leg"
Uh Oh, it's Team Examiner!!!!! I better watch my Fing words carefully!
WHAAAAHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
"it attracts nit-picking nerds like menstruating attracts sharks" - movie examiner. <---this must be why you get more hits and comments than most of the people around here.
And you're wrong, nobody wants the entire universe in 3 posts. Just anticipation of some clarity on a bogus defense. Is that ok, bro?! I know how much devotion you have to this place. It must be hard working out of your house or bathroom or wherever HERE is.
Uh Oh, it's Team Examiner!!!!! I better watch my Fing words carefully!

Nice post erase dude...
Well, there's a line...
I imagine there's some kids here...
I'd like to hope....
