Had an opportunity to catch up with Stanford football coach Harbaugh after practice on Friday. He talked about a few of his players that have been sticking out during training camp so far:
WARREN REULAND: “Warren Reuland has done some really good things. He had a stretch there where he had three really good practices in a row. Then he kind of slipped back and now he is coming on again. He has been a nice surprised. Both of the Reuland brothers have really had good camps.”
SHAYNE SKOV: “You hate to talk about freshman too much, but this Shayne Skov is special. He really has some instincts and a real passion for football. He really loves the game of football. And it shows up in practice in the way he plays. He has been real impressive. He has really grown fast in the position under Coach Buh, who is such a technician when it comes to teaching a game, also Clinton Snyder. I really see him starting to emulate Clinton’s communication. The way Clinton is always talking, anticipating things, pointing out formations, tendencies, and Shayne has really picked that up in the last three or four days. That is good. Shayne really loves the game.”
DAVID DECASTRO: “(He has been) really good. (He is a) big square, strong offensive lineman. He has been rock solid in there since day one and keeps getting better.”
DELANO HOWELL: “Delano has been a very sure tackler in camp. I have not seen him miss a tackle yet. You hope for 9 out of 10 but I have not seen him miss one yet.”
OWEN MARECIC: “Owen has been really good. Guys are starting to call him Creasy from the movie Man on Fire. He just goes from one drill to another and is just always in a football position ready to attack.”
RICHARD SHERMAN: “Sherman has been good and getting better.”

do u know if zots, oasis or dutch goose has fsn northwest so i can see stanford/wsu football on 9/5/09???
I do not know. I am sure the Old Pro will have it. I would be surprised if the Oasis does not have it. I have not been to the Dutch Goose in so long I really don't recall their satellite feeds and I have never heard of Zots.
