Clausen going pro?

Is this the last game for Charlie Weis and Jimmy Clausen? As Stanford football gets ready to host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish this Saturday, word is spreading that it could be the last game for junior quarterback Jimmy Clausen.

Profootballtalk.com is reporting that Clausen will declare for the NFL draft following this year. ESPN's Joe Schad is the source of the report. Clausen has had a very good year in an overall down year for the Irish.

While nothing is official, it is widely believed that head coach Charlie Weis will be fired following the Stanford game ending his five year run as leader of Notre Dame football.

It is still to early to say where Clausen would be drafted. Speculation is that it could be anywhere from the first to third rounds.
