The West Toronto Wildcats held the Peewee West Toronto Baseball Tournament sponsored by Baseline Sports. The three day tournament was held at High Park on Friday June 4th to Sunday June 6th and included teams from Burlington, Tottenham, Bolton, North Toronto, West Toronto and Scarborough.
The final game had Tottenham with a 3-1 record facing the home club the West Toronto Wildcats with an undefeated record at 4-0. Tottenham took an early lead with runners on base Brown hit a double to score the second run of the inning. They would add one more in the inning to take a 3-0 lead. It was then the Wildcats turn to bat and with two runners on the bases Dennis came to the plate and hit a single to score both the runners and would trail Tottenham 3-2 after the first inning. The Wildcats took a 4-3 lead in the second after a double by Oliver.
The battle would continue and Tottenham would tie things up in the top of the third. With a runner on third Caulfield would strike out but West Toronto's catcher dropped the ball and Caulfield took off to first base but with an overthrow to first, the runner would score and West Toronto would get Caulfield out at second to end the inning. West Toronto took the lead once again in the bottom of the third and added two more runs in the forth, one run scored on a triple by Gary. It was then Oliver's turn to bat, he hit a double to score Gary to give West Toronto a 7-4 lead. West Toronto went on to score seven more runs in the fifth to win the game 14-4 and win the West Toronto Peewee Baseball Tournament.
