13. Brent Musburger

My favorites on college analysts are as follows –

Gary Danielson – He is very entertaining and best of all speaks his mind.
Kirk Herbstreit – Clearly has come into his own. Polished and very smart.
Rick “Doc” Walker – Smart, enthusiastic, and knows the game. Should be on nationally but good on ACC.
Randy Cross – Overlooked and very good a real asset to CBS College Sports.
Pat Hayden – No homer for Notre Dame. He is very smooth and does a wonderful job.

Top college play by play men –
Brent Musburger – He is the best big game voice. No one sells a game better than Brent.
Verne Lundquist - He is old school and since Keith Jackson retired Verne has taken his sense of humor and knowledge to make games entertaining.
Tim Brant – No longer on the national stage he still call a great game. He does a super job on the ACC.
Chris Fowler – very underrated as a college broadcaster.
Mike Patrick – One my favorite play by play men on any sport. He excels in his role on the college games.

NFL Play by play men –
Al Michaels – He is still the best. Al has been outstanding for a number of years and he remains the standard by others are measured.
Dick Enberg – There is no doubt that Dick is a classic and he is to football what Vin Scully is to baseball. OH MY!!
Jim Nantz – Mr. Smooth – he always is consistent, the best in the business at advancing a storyline.
Joe Buck – He is quick, smart and has a great sense of humor. Buck is the hippest broadcaster.
Mike Tirico – There is no doubt that he has established himself as the new voice of ESPN MNF and is the best at keeping things moving in a three man booth.

NFL analysts –
Ron Jaworski – I have known Jaws for years and no one watches more tape or does more homework on all teams each week than he does. Jaws uses that knowledge better than anyone.
Cris Collinsworth – The smartest, most complete analyst on TV. Cris is also very outspoken and is given the freedom to speak his mind.
Phil Simms – Very direct, to the point and at ease breaking down a game. That is what Simms does best – he is a X’s and O’s guy.
Troy Aikman – He is at his best breaking down offenses. The former Cowboys QB can really give fans insight into how a game is called on the offensive side of the ball.
Jon Gruden - He is the rookie of the year and seems to be at home in the booth on MNF.

Don't you mean who ARE your favorite broadcasters? I miss John Madden and Keith Jackson. Aikman tops my list of NFL guys now.
