Chip Caray ready for season two on TBS MLB Sunday
After a very successful first season Sunday MLB on TBS is ready to roll into their second season with a good National League East showdown between the Mets and the Marlins down in Miami at 1p.m.
The duo of Chip Caray and Ron Darling both have established themselves as outstanding broadcasters. Caray has become more confident in his ability to serve as the lead play by play man on a network broadcast. His years at both WGN and TBS has served him well.
Caray is a talented broadcaster who I feel is ready to really establish himself as one of the best play by play men on network television.
Darling is perhaps one of the most improved color analysts in baseball. I recall his first stint working the first season on the Washington Nationals games. He was a bit quiet and not assertive but that is no longer the case. His days as a Mets analyst at SNY has made him a fine broadcaster.
So look for Caray and Darling to provide fans plenty of good conversation and information.
TBS will be airing games every Sunday through the rest of the season and we will talk about their playoffs cover a little later. ‘Let’s allow them to get game one of the season under their belts first.
We will talk more Turner sports later this week as they get ready for the NBA Playoffs on TNT.
