There are lots of quality for just about every type of sports fan there is this weekend.
Tennis on ESPN2 the U.S. Open Cup series is in Indianapolis today at 1:30p.m. and Sunday at 3p.m.
An MLS doubleheader on Saturday with Chicago facing Seattle on ESPN at 3p.m. Then in primetime on ESPN2 David Beckham and L.A will take their traveling road show to Kansas City for a 9p.m. nightcap.
Tom Watson remain's in the hunt at the Senior British Open?
The action starts today on ABC at 2p.m. on Saturday and 1p.m. on Sunday.
Meanwhile the PGA tour is north of the boarder for The Canadian Open.
CBS has the golf action today and Sunday at 3p.m.
NASCAR will be in Indy this week...
ESPN2 has the Nationwide Series Saturday at 8p.m. and then on Sunday at 1p.m. on ESPN it will be The Brickyard 400 and we will have more about that on Sunday.
Open wheel fans it will be the IRL series this weekend 5p.m. Sunday from Edmonton on Versus.
F-1 fans will get to see the Hungarian Gran Prix on tape at 3p.m. Sunday on FOX.
Michael Phelps will be in the pool on Sunday at noon on NBC4 for the start of the Swimming World Championships. You can follow the entire week of the big meet on NBC Universal on cable the rest of the week.
Plenty of good baseball action going on this weekend.
We have the FOX Saturday Game of the Week today at 4p.m. with Cards taking on the Philles which is a great game. TBS will have the Sunday game at 2p.m. going nationally. So this will give folks a chance at seeing two of the best teams in the National League.
The two teams fighting it out for the wildcard will be featured at 8pm tonight on MLBN. The Giants at the Rockies.
Sunday only on MLB Network will have the Hall of Fame inductions with Ricky Henderson and Jim Rice. The radio side will be on Sirius/XM with all the action starting on radio and TV at 12:30p.m.
ESPN closes out the weekend Sunday night with a big Central Division battle between the White Sox and the Tigers.
