Baltimore fans love Art Modell and want him in Canton (AP-Photo)
There is little doubt that Art Modell belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
There is also little doubt that Modell will ever actually be inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. At least while he is alive.
But the always creative, always entertaining owner of Baltimore Radio station WNST and broadband TV network - Nestor J. Aparicio did the honors himself yesterday before the Ravens faced the Browns in Monday Night Football.
Enjoy Nestor's induction of Modell.

Mr. Modell's move destabilized the NFL. He selfishly moved the franchise to Baltimore (after voting against NFL expansion to your city)without any regard to the stakes of other owners or League stability. The "unprecedented but not precedent setting" decision to award Cleveland the Browns name, colors and history came about as the NFL was facing several lawsuits (esp. franchising) and the possibility of challenging the NFL as an illegal trust. Remember, the NFL does not share the antitrust exemption of MLB. Mr. Modell forced this issue for his own personal gain. He claimed he wanted a legacy for his adopted son (and, yet, he later sells team) Mr. Modell has always been a generous philanthropist to both Cleveland and Baltimore. However, his dangerous, self-serving move risked severe damage to the NFL. BTW, Mr. Modell didn't invent television and I'm sure profootball wouldn't be exclusively on AM radio without his efforts.
More whining from a Cleveland fan or apologist. Al Davis is in. Did he do more for the NFL than Mr. Modell? Cleveland politicians are the reason the Browns moved. Yet the NFL bent over backwards to restore a team there. Had Baltimore had the luxury of ESPN, the internet and mass media, the Colts colors would still be in Baltimore. Shut up already up already Cleveland. Go back to throwing bottles at refs when you don't get your way.
