Are you ready for some football? It's time to break out the aqua and orange and get ready for Miami Dolphins football! To get fans fired up for the new season, the Miami Dolphins will hold a pep rally on Saturday, September 10 in West Palm Beach at the CityPlace Fountain Plaza. This event is a few days before the team’s 2011 home opener against the New England Patriots on Monday, September 12th at Sun Life Stadium. The rally will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
There will be special appearances by former players, the Dolphins’ cheerleaders, Fins Force and mascot T.D. There will be contests, prizes, interactive games, and bounce houses. This free event will also have live music, so don't miss your chance to meet Dolphins' alumni for autographs and watch the cheerleaders' dance performances.

The story behind the website starts during the 1970s, IBM Corporation's Boca Raton lab purchased 95 Miami Dolphins season tickets in sections 115 - 117. The company sold individual game tickets back to employees at face value. When the plant closed in 1995, a raffle was held to transfer the ticket ownership permanently to 47 winning employees.
Several of them exchanged business cards to keep in touch with each other in case they couldn't attend a home game and wanted to sell their tickets. Sometimes they would exchange tickets for future home games in order to acquire additional seats for friends or out-of-town guests.
The informal system caught on quickly, since most fans didn't want to deal with ticket scalpers or brokers. Later they switched to an e-mail list and later to the Web site which is open to all Dolfans. The messages on the site's message board are an indication of its popularity.
In addition, the site urges fans who have spare tickets to donate them to a local charity that helps kids who have been victims of abuse or neglect. Boys Town of South Florida is a not-for-profit organization that can help a grateful child attend a Dolphins game, thanks to a tax-deductible gift of tickets. Over the years they have been able to take many Boys Town kids to Miami Dolphins games.
