If you're a fan of Ron Artest and want to meet him in person, it's easy to do. Subscribe to his twitter.com page and wait for an invitation.

What sets Artest apart from most of his teammates and fellow athletes is his willingness to be accessible in person to his fans. Here's the latest example.

If you are a follower of Artest on Twitter (@96TruWarierQB) you got the tweet last night that he was looking for a fan to join him for dinner.

Here's the text in full: what fan wants to join me to eat right now?!!!! email me at shinshinartest@gmail.com and I will tell you my location in Los Angeles!!!

Minutes later he announced the name of the winner, Vanessa Acosta, who with her boyfriend was about to have dinner with Ron. Afterwards, he tweeted: The dinner was great with Vanessa and her boyfriend!!!

If you missed out on that opportunity, don't worry. You can attend Artest's Christmas party. Here's the tweeted invite: December 23rd come to Marbella on 6757 Hollywood blvd. The Ron Artest Christmas Party. World Wide Wariers will be performing also!!

And if you want Artest to hang on the wall (figuratively speaking) catch the 2010 Ron Artest calendar. It's ready for purchase at www.zazzle.com/ronartest.

None of this is detracting from his growth in the Lakers' starting five. He regularly pours in double digit points and has been a star on the defensive side as well. Maybe that's all he's ever needed, to live in a place to work off the excess energy he has in that 6'7", 265 lbs. frame of his.

The Lakers play the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at Staples Center and then depart on a nine-day road trip. Don't worry, Ron will be back for the party at Marbella.
