The ESPY Awards kicked off on Wednesday in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater at LA Live in downtown. The red carpet was sizzling as stars of entertainment and sports strutted their stuff in the blazing heat.
That didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits as some of the biggest names in all of sports strutted their stuff, mingled, stopped for photos and generally looked fabulous.

Seth Meyers of " Saturday Night Live" serves as master of ceremonies for this 18th edition of the awards given not just to athletes or teams but to honor singular moments in the world of sports.
Before the red carpet appearance, all presenters and attendees spent days in and around Los Angeles at fabulous parties thrown by their peers. They also dug into the gift bags they were lucky enough to snag.
Best Breakthrough Athlete, Best Sports Moment, Best Record-Breaking Performance
The reported value of the items in the gift bags this year is $25,000. A unique item was offered prior to the night of the show. Teeth whitening from VIP Smile was available at the gift bag suite without an appointment.

We were disappointed because no one announced who won the award for Best NBA Player, Best Coach/Manager and Best Sports Move.
