Packers organization finally speaks: Favre should stay home

First he retired, then he hinted that he might want to come back, then he talked to his head coach but nothing came of it, then he told people he had "the itch" to come back, then he texted the Packers GM who avoided contact at all costs and now this: there is NO news today from Brett Favre but the Packers think he's just joshing and have said the closest thing they can to telling him to stay home.

The current and former Presidents of the Packers spoke today at a marketing event in Wsconsin and dag gummit, they had to answer questions about Brett. Have they spoken to Favre? Of course not, that would mean they'd have to tell him what apparently is a thanks but no thanks message.

They think that it's normal to have regrets and to want to be with the guys at this time of year. Especially when you've done it for more than two decades going back to high school. They take Brett's word from his retirement announcement back in March.

They give no credence to all the behind the scenes and off the record comments from the last 2 weeks. But the men did say that since they believed his intent to retire, then "it's pretty reasonable that as an organization we're going to move on."

Yup, you heard me, it's time to move on. Thanks for telling the press who can then tell us but have you told Brett that? Oh, that's right the press will tell him too. Got it. To relive the teary moment from March just press play!

Nice piece. I hope it makes it to every newspapers in Wisconsin so the gutless wonders who run the Packers see it. And, of course, Brett needs to see it, too, so he knows he is not wanted. I thought the Pack played football, a man's game, not dodgeball, a kids' game. Oh, well.

Mark Murphy Green Bay Packers President, & Ted Thompson, Green Bay Packers General Manager should take a long hard look at their decision about Brett Favre. A bad decision is possible to make them or break them both.
History can be cruel, Jerry Glanville's mistake when Brett Favre was an unknown in Atlanta has haunted him & the City of Atlanta for almost 20 years.

These men need to remove their heads from the dark place they have them lodged & seriously consider this Icon back into the Packer's Organization.

Thanks for the comments and Lambodog: feel free to send the link to the lunkheads up there. It's just pathetic. And as you said: they should man-up.

Sarah: you guys should send a pre paid ticket to the GM, Thompson, get him on a plane and send him to see Favre in Mississippi. Face to face this might be solved one way or another. Thanks for your comment and reading the piece
