Dodgers lose more players while owner gets reprimand from MLB

The Dodgers failed to offer arbitration to its free agents, including their most steady pitcher, Randy Wolf.

Meanwhile the rotation that needed a revived Vincente Padilla to get it to the NLCS is not being replenished.

And now Juan Pierre has been dealt to the White Sox in exchange for the proverbial "players to be named later" while the team agrees to pay more than $10 million of Pierre's next two years of salary.

Pierre was the guy who stepped in and performed admirably during Manny Ramirez''s 50 game suspension and spelled anyone in the outfield who needed a day off after Manny's return. Check out the White Sox Examiner, J.J. Stankevitz's take on the trade.

It's been so long and see you later for the Dodgers and no hello, nice to see you. Meanwhile, Ned Colletti, the Dodgers GM and owner Frank McCourt want you to believe that McCourt's divorce has nothing to do with this.

But it gets better. The owners who went public in the middle of the playoffs with their marriage bust-up will go to court to argue about spousal support in February. They cap that off with the titanic battle between them to determine who actually owns the Dodgers.

Frank McCourt tried to litigate ownership prior to the commencement of the 2010 season and his wife Jamie had asked for a trial in the autumn. The judge split the difference and decided that May would be a terrific time for this spectacle.

McCourt has been busy trying to assert control of the club while he still can. Apparently, a former Dodgers employee who is alleged to be a very special friend of Mrs. McCourt showed up in Taiwan last week offering Jamie's phone number to one of the country's senators.  McCourt went ballistic while Jamie's lawyer said she wasn't behind any of it.

MLB doesn't think any of this is funny and sent Frank a letter that at its core said: "Take control of this and do it fast."  McCourt used the letter in his appeal to the judge when he asked for a speedy trial date on the ownership issue since he can't even control his wife's former chauffeur.

Hey Frank and Jamie: there are fans out here that want to know who will play second now that Orlando Hudson is gone, who will take Wolf and Padilla's places in the rotation and who will spell the aging Manny. Oh, I'm sorry, you must have better things to do. The LA Sports Examiner, Lionel Hill has more on the insanity of the McCourt divorce, here
