The 2010 Men’s Big Ten basketball tournament gets under way this Thursday in Indianapolis, IN. Michigan State is the No. 3 seed while Michigan holds down the No. 8 spot. Here is a look at the three first round match ups slated for Thursday at the Conseco Fieldhouse.

No. 8 Michigan vs. No. 9 Iowa
No. 7 Northwestern vs. No. 10 Indiana
No. 6 Minnesota vs. No. 11 Penn State

The second round will begin on Friday with these match ups.

No. 1 Ohio State vs. Michigan/Iowa winner
No. 4 Wisconsin vs. No. 5 Illinois
No. 2 Purdue vs. Northwestern/Indiana winner
No. 3 Michigan State vs. Minnesota/Penn State winner

The tournament will conclude on Saturday and Sunday with the semi finals and championship game.

In other Big Ten news, the conference has announced their end of season squads. Four Spartans and two Wolverines were named to the team in some capacity. Here is a look at the All Big Ten first team along with the Spartans and Wolverines honored.
