Penfield native Chris Schiller re-signed and agreed to a three-year deal with his hometown Rochester Knighthawks. He will enter his 10th season with the Rochester Knighthawks in 2011.
Schiller, 33, had a memorable summer, winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2010 FIL World Lacrosse Championships. He added his gold medal to his National Lacrosse League and Major League Lacrosse championship rings. Schiller was a member of the Knighthawks 2007 championship team and played for the 2008 Rochester Rattlers that won the Steinfeld Cup.
Last season, the defenseman/transition man averaged nearly a point per game in 13 contests and registered 70 loose balls. The McQuaid High School product also holds an esteemed place in Knighthawks history; he is tied for sixth on the team in games played (114) and is seventh all-time in loose balls with 620. Schiller is also a three-time winner of the team’s Unsung Hero award.
