The Buffalo Sabres announced that former captain Pat LaFontaine will be the keynote speaker at the next Power Play Luncheon at noon Friday, Nov. 20, in the HSBC Arena Harbour Club. Tickets are now on sale, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
Individual tickets are $29, and tables of 10 are available for $250. Tickets can be purchased at Sabres.com or by calling 855-4588. Free parking will be available in the ramp adjacent to HSBC Arena.
The final luncheon of the three-part series will take place on Friday, March 5. The guest speaker will be announced at a later date.

The Rochester Knighthawks announced that the team will open their 2010 National Lacrosse League Training Camp on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Total Sports Experience in Gates, 880 Elmgrove Road. The practice falls on the first of two weekends that the K-Hawks will be in Rochester as they prepare for their season opener on Jan. 9. That night, Rochester hosts the Buffalo Bandits at 8:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial.
On Nov. 22, the Knighthawks will hit the floor from 8 to 11 a.m. The practice is free and open to the public. Players and coaches will be available for autographs following the workouts.
The next weekend, the Knighthawks will hold two training sessions at TSE. On Saturday, Nov. 28, the K-Hawks will practice from 5 to 8 p.m. The second session is on Sunday, Nov. 29, from 8 to 11 a.m. Both practices are free and open to the public.
