Bandits add Orchard Park native to roster, Canisius and Niagara game on ESPNU

The struggling Buffalo Bandits, off to a disappointing 0-4 start this season, made several roster moves this week. Defenseman Joe Smith and forward Kyle Clancy were added to the active roster, while forwards Delby Powless and AJ Shannon were released. Smith, a hometown boy, is a native of Orchard Park.
 
The team also announced that defenseman and fan favorite Clay Hill has accepted the terms of a contract and was placed on the evaluation period list (two weeks).

Game of the week: Tonight’s 7 p.m. basketball game between Canisius (10-11) and Niagara (11-11) from the Koessler Athletic Center will be televised live on ESPNU.

It’s “Freaky Free Friday” at the Niagara women’s basketball game at 7 p.m. tonight when the Purple Eagles take on the Siena Saints at the Gallagher Center. Admission is free and all fans will also receive a free NU tote bag.
