St. John's ends pursuit of Stephenson, sources say Terps ruled out
St. John's has announced the end of their pursuit of high school senior guard Lance Stephenson, while sources continue to say that he has also ruled out attending Maryland.
Memphis and Arizona seem to be the only two remaining possibilities, but neither school appears all that interested in the guard.
It seemed Arizona and Stephenson had a mutual interest, but it appears the Wildcats have come concerns over Stephenson's character. He has yet to visit Arizona or Memphis.
He has until May 20 to make his decision, so the deadline is fast approaching. Considering the constant drama surrounding his recruitment, we can all be thankful for that.

You said that he has until may 20 to make a descision. This is wrong in that stephenson would be able to sign with a school anytime during the summer.
I think Memphis is still interested. I'm not sure anyone knows what in the world Lance is doing.
He may just not be able to make up his mind.
I think Memphis' style of play would suit Lance, but Memphis players have to play as a team and play defense hard. If he plays like Beasly, then I do not think he will be a good fit at Memphis.
I'm sure I. Thomas would like to have him. Maybe he could help Thomas not be a complete failure as a coach. Thomas has already hurt his reputation with FL coaches. HE let 2 people go that had already commited to the program. He did not have the guts to call them. Now the 2 kids may not go to college next year.
David C is correct. He has up until May 20 to sign a national letter of intent but can sign scholarship papers anytime over the summer.
this so rediculous he will probally suck . he has a huge ego go to Europe and then be a egotistice jerk as a bench player in the NBA
David C.: I should have that more clear. You are right, although he only has until May 20 to receive a scholarship for next season, which is what he would want and probably need in order to play.
stephenson would be able to sign his scholarship papers at anytime before the fall school session starts.
