Hey Delonte, is that a gun in your pocket . . . and your pant leg . . . and your guitar case, or are you just happy to see me?
Once upon a time, Kimberly Ashley Awad might have used that pick-up line on her future hubby. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard was arrested Thursday in Maryland, where it’s a no-no to transport loaded guns and carry concealed weapons.
Quick poll: If you were illegally toting some pieces while riding a motorcycle, would you:
a) Speed?
b) Cut off a police officer?
c) Tempt fate and do both of those things?
If you’re Delonte West, the answer is C. (If you're Delonte West, it's unlikely that you're reading this, but forget that for a minute). The cop West cut off pulled him over—yes, we were surprised by the officer's reaction, too—and the NBA star got nailed for weapons charges.
He bailed his very own self out on Friday, picked up his toys (minus the guns), and went home.
