Police chase limo at over 150 mph

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this video, the Cadillac Deville limousine is not a slow vehicle! Capable of speeds in excess of 150 mph, this limo driver is trying to evade police on the interstate and surface town roads. After driving the limo at top speed, the transmission gave out blowing all gears except reverse. The chase wasn't over yet! Using the reverse gear, the limo driver evades police yet again! It's amazing to see what a skilled limo driver and a powerful engine is capable of. The huge beast tears up the roads, let's check out the specifications!

Cadillac Deville limo specifications:

  • 4.6 liter V8
  • DOHC
  • 32 valve
  • 275 hp @ 5600 RPM
  • 300 tq @ 4000 RPM
  • 3978 lb curb weight

The performance capability of the 4.6 Northstar engine is amazing. The use of four valves per cylinder allows for any additional air flow to achieve maximum gains. Modifying this engine with forced induction, fuel system, intake, and exhaust modifications will knock the numbers up around 400 to 500 horsepower and torque. The nice thing about Cadillac is that they use hardened and higher performance pistons and rings in these engines when compared to the average engine produced by other manufacturers. These are by no means race quality, but they are slightly better than standard. A Cadillac engine can take some abuse, and even with stock internals can support upwards of 500 hp & tq on the dyno.

That limo cannot reach 150. Neither can the cop car in all likelihood.

I bet that limo could hit 150. It may take a little while but I'm sure it could do it.
