Christina Aguilera was involved in a fender bender earlier today. Her assistant was driving her Range Rover when she rear ended another Range Rover in Santa Monica. There were no injuries reported and Aguilera left the scene escorted by her body guard.
2009 was not a great year for celebrity drivers. Perhaps the most infamous and well known car crash of the year involved Tiger Wood's Cadillac Escalade. This of course has been well covered and even animated by a foreign news station.
LeAnn Rimes was pulling out of a parking spot at a shopping mall in Calabasas, California when she bogied a golf cart with her Mercedes SL. No one was hurt and the matter was taken care of by Rimes without authorities.
Judging from what my cousin tells me, I'm sure this is common practice when a star gets into a fender bender. My cousin was driving her Mercedes SLK in LA when she was rear ended by a woman in a mini van. The lady gave her a card and told her that she would handle it, and indeed she did! The name on the card... Miriam Rogers, that's "Mimi" for those of you that aren't familiar with Tom Cruise's ex wife.
I'm sure the famous model Fabio couldn't believe that a Ferrari could be crushed like butter when he lost control of this 599 on Mulholland Drive. Apparently he took the turn a bit too fast and ended up spinning off and damaging the front and rear of the 12 cylinder Ferrari 599 that wasn't even his!
News anchor Tom Brokaw was involved in a fatal crash in New York earlier this year, but he and his wife were unharmed. A woman in an SUV involved in the accident was killed when she was thrown from her car. This is a good example of why you must wear your seat belt at all times while in a car!
Nick Hogan (Hulk Hogan's son) was involved in the infamous crash while recklessly driving his Toyota Supra in 2007 that left his friend paralyzed. He was actually in another minor crash in late November while leaving a fund raiser which was ironically for driver safety.
Of course Paris Hilton is no stranger to fender benders, and she scratched up her Pink Range Rover while chatting with the paparazzi as she was pulling out of a parking space. She hit a parked Honda.
Another recent accident involved her Bentley that she somehow managed to slide under a truck. Her body shop must love her! In her defense, it must be really hard trying to avoid all of those photographers that are constantly distracting her!
Remember, distracted driving is dangerous! You can text and check your email when you get there! Let's all drive safely in 2010!
