Audi, BMW and Cadillac are going to be in for some new competition for their wagons in 2011 thanks to the new Acura TSX wagon. The TSX wagon will be based on tthe Honda Tourer Wagon that is currently only sold in Japan.
Honda will use their upscale Acura brand when they bring it to America so that it can better compete with the German luxury wagon makers and Cadillac. The Acura should at least have a bit of an advantage on price. Expect it to be less expensive than its competitors when it arrives late next year as a 2011 model.
Like the 2010 Acura TSX it will be offered with either a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engine. Having spent a lot of time behind the wheel of the new TSX, I think it will make a great platform for the wagon. With a great navigation system, satellite radio, very comfortable heated seats, and a lot of additional cargo space, long trips to see grandmom will at least be comfortable for the whole family!
