Today, McDonalds announced its latest celebrity partnership, featuring golfer Michelle Wie.
In addition to supporting McDonalds' education and community-based initiatives, Wie will appear in an ad for the fast food company beginning in April. The theme of the ad is a celebration of success and achievement and will appear in 5 languages, including English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), English, Korean and Taglish.
In a press release, Wie said, "I'm thrilled to be partnering with a global company like McDonald's, but I am especially proud of the message we are working to deliver together. Growing up, I was taught to believe in myself, to dream big, and that success is a team effort. It's a very important message and I'm excited to work with McDonald's to share it with today's youth. I've lived it, and with the help of caring community partners like McDonald's, so many other kids can achieve their dreams too."
After a rough start to her career, Wie has started to live up to some of the promise that she showed when she first turned pro. As she has matured and her play has improved, it has become easier for Michelle Wie to land more corporate partnerships such as this one with McDonalds.
