Landers Integratron dome meteor star party

Landers, California’s famous Integratron Dome is hosting a benefit party to support the Mojave Land Trust on Saturday, August 15th, from 8:00 - 12:00 p.m. The "star" of the night will be the glittering Perseid Meteor Showers, and will be held at the ever-fascinating and mysterious
Integratron Dome property.

The Mojave Land Trust is leading the purchase of an environmentally sensitive chunk of 955 acres located near Joshua Tree National Park, which is located 2 hours North-East of San Diego. The celestial celebration offers visitors the rare opportunity of spending an evening relaxing inside the actual Integratron structure or strolling outdoors on their expansive acreage under a night sky animated by meteor showers. Proceeds from the event will directly support the Mojave Land Trust's efforts to purchase and save this land for future generations.

The ticket price of $35.00 a person includes a "Dark Skies" presentation by an actual National
Service Ranger, a Desert Video Astronomer's live projections from deep-space telescopes displayed
onto the outer dome, and a chakra-stimulating "Sound Bath" concert inside the dome featuring
seven "singing" 99% pure quartz bowls played to previously unheard of harmonic frequencies.

The dome is 50 feet in diameter and the interior space allows--or creates--many unusual sound
effects. The Integratron stands several stories high and closely resembles traditional star-viewing
buildings such as the Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles. George Van Tassel, an
aeronautical engineer working for Howard Hughes, designed the Integratron to enhance and
manipulate the acoustics for healing and rejuvenation purposes--a sort of Sci-Fi version of the
Fountain of Youth.

Construction of the Integratron began in the early 1950's and continued until Van Tassel’s death
in 1978. Van Tassel built the dome with his Wife and children using funds raised from donations
from "UFO believers" such as Howard Hughes. Van Tassel also hosted UFO conventions on the
site, which attracted tens of thousands of UFO enthusiasts during the 50's, 60's, and 70's. The
structure was supposedly reverse-engineered based on technology Van Tassel claimed would
replenish and heal our entire body’s tissue. Van Tassel said alien being's from the planet Venus
had actually visited the Integratron property and whisked him up to their hovering space craft,
where they provided him with advanced Venusian technologies.

Enjoy the "Full Integratron experience" with overnight camping on the spacious grounds
available for an additional $25.00 a person. Continental breakfast is complimentary and children
under the age of 12 are included for free. Wine and beer will be available, as well as a dessert and
coffee bar.
