From 1st Timothy, Chapter 4 verses 1-3 (King James Version):
1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
There are those who speak of the "new age" doctrine. As far as the word of God is concerned, if it's not of God, the message entailed is still false. And many will be sucked into it, and believe that God will take sin into his kingdom. For no one can live "any kind of way" and expect the Lord to "overlook" sin. And, there are some who believe that God is "no longer" God. He's believed to be something else.
With the many "manmade excuses" available to those to continue in sin, God has not changed, and will not lower his standard for any reason. And, if a person doesn't believe that God is requiring holiness, or sees it not being necessary, he's in for a rude awakening. Just as light and darkness doesn't mix, holy and unholy will never mix, whether "down here" or in God's kingdom.
And unless a person is tired of living in sin, they'll continue therein and make up excuses to support it. It's a blessing to know the real truth concerning God, to become able to escape the corruption brought on by sin, and to reap the benefit of serving the Lord in spirit and truth, with the actual hope of eternal life.
So, if anyone wants to be really saved by God, don't kid yourself into believing that he's going to lower his standard - everyone must come up to his, through repentance. And he'll give his power to anyone, for them to be able to prove what is really acceptable unto him, by the difference made through having his Spirit, being "lights" shining in a sinful world. And, once that relationship is established with him, there'll be no falsehood that can take you out of his hands... no, not by any means!
