The startling re-visioning of the Collected Works Bookstore has created an airy new hang-out in town, replete with bookstore, indoor and outdoor café, and a casual living-room area right in the middle. You could walk over there from the plaza in just a few minutes, and chill over a cappuccino and what’s new in the literary world. An instant Santa Fe classic at the corner of Water and Galisteo. Monday through Thursday 8:00AM to 8:00PM, Friday & Saturday 8:00AM to 9:30PM, Sunday 8:00AM to 3:00PM.
 

If you’re up by Canyon Road, another great hang-out is the Teahouse.You can have very clean-tasting food while listening to music, or out in a beautiful garden, while getting some wi-fi work done on your computer. If it rains you can go into the library. (If you’re coming from the Railrunner train, you can take a shuttle to Canyon Road.) 8:30 am-9 pm 6 days a week, closed Tuesday.
