The Federation of Circles and Solitaries (FoCaS) is a non-profit organization based in the Downriver Detroit area. FoCaS is dedicated to increasing fellowship between followers of nature-based religion. They also work towards a better general public awareness of alternative spiritual paths.
Along with networking and education, their mission includes environmental preservation through volunteer efforts such as Adopt-A-Road Cleanup. Charitable activities include the Pagans In Need program to help provide food and other items for families and individuals and the Adopt a Shelter program which donates time, money or goods to at least one different shelter chosen annually.
FoCaS invites local groups to host sabbats so people can learn about the many paths of earth-based spirituality. Many of their rituals take place in Elizabeth Park in Trenton. These events are open to the public. One of their stated goals is to purchase land for fellowship and ceremonies. Memberships are available for those who want to become more involved with the group.
They also host the Pagan Chat night held twice a month at the American Bar and Grill in Woodhaven. Each chat night usually has a theme with a guest speaker or speakers. People are then free to discuss the chosen topic as well as meet and greet area Pagans.
