Tanya Gupta is from Washington, D.C., and has lived in the United States, India and Bangladesh, and takes a keen interest in all things "desi" (slang for everything South Asian), but with an American twist. She is a widely published writer, and has written on very diverse subjects including finance, technology, mythology, culture, and in a variety of forms such as poetry, prose, news and analysis. Some of the publications that have featured her writing include the Washington Post (US), the Statesman (India), the Daily Star (Bangladesh), the Northern Virginia Review and technical journals.
