Blue, a Bollywood underwater thriller released in the US this past week. Although it is unclear whether it will be a hit or not, there is every indication it has made a splash, to a large extent because of Kylie Minogue's one million dollar dance number, curiously titled "Chiggy Wiggy". The movies numbers were helped by the fact that it was released over Diwali weekend (festival of lights). However there was not much appreciation for Kylie's dress or for her dance. Unflattering reviews of her Bollywood dance number were picked up by American, British, and Australian press, among others. MTV Australia cited a critic as saying that Kylie was "as sexy as a fat housewife in a kaftan".

Akshay Kumar, her Bollywood co-star and a top Indian actor, was not spared either. The UK Times said that Akshay was probably the worst dressed man on the planet. Writer Jeremy Langmead said
Google Kumar and a picture gallery of some of the most unappetising outfits worn by modern man will unfold before your eyes: there’s oversized sunglasses that he appears to have borrowed from Mrs Beckham, day-glo hoodies stolen from Kanye West, slogan T-shirts à la Henry Holland, and lots of shiny, torso-revealing accessories that remind one just a little bit too much of Daffyd from Little Britain".
Akshay and Kylie should take heart, though. If the film is a hit, then no matter what the critics say, they will be laughing all the way to the Bank!

Laugh to bank.Well Minogue was paid upfront..what a waste of money as the movie made around £200,000 in total first weekend.Hardly a stroll let alone a dash to bank.It has been panned everywhere it is showing .It says it all when even her devoted gay following are trying to pretend it never happened since they manage to convince themselves even the bad if excellent when done by their "idol".Still she is NOT the movie ,she is but a few minutes of it, and singing, despite her USA small but well received tour, is not her forte. She is a human billboard.Sell me buy me..do whatever with and to me...£££
"devoted Gay following"shows that Aimee doesnt have a clue about her jealous venoms target.Kylie has a LOT more devoted a following than some minority group.When Kylie anounced her cancer diagnosis it was like Dianna all over again,Kylie fame is so big in size+time length she now has a fan base spanning generations-she IS part of our culture her change in style of music AND image has kept her succesful-U need talent to recognize talent in colabraters EVEN people that dont like her music respect+admire the women for her career survival personality+the way she conducts herself(eg doing charity discretely w/o using it to promote her image like so many of these fake stars today eg Beckhams)in the spotlight despite the size of her fame,that stupid,shallow,people like yourself over the decades who have endlessly repeated her lack of talent/she wont last,continue to dig their graves deeper as Kylie has become the ONLY female solo apart from Madge to still have a mainstream career from the 80s
